We may not have a national brand as in the past, however, we have never produced as many cars around here as this year, and the numbers revealed today by ACAP are proof of this.

After the national automobile industry reached an absolute record in 2018, producing a total of 294 366 vehicles, this year that number was surpassed, and in just 11 months!

Well, according to ACAP, between January and November 2019 they were produced in Portugal 321 622 vehicles , a value 17.8% higher than that achieved in the same period last year and higher than that achieved throughout 2018.

As might be expected, European markets are those to which the car industry exports the most (representing 97.5% of exports).

Toyota Land Cruiser 70
It may no longer be sold here, but this version of the Land Cruiser continues to be produced in Portugal.

In the ranking of European countries to which the national automobile industry exports the most, Germany (23.5%) appears; France (15.4%); Italy (13.2%) and Spain (11%).
