Live and in color. The most powerful Porsche Panamera ever

Anonim

There is no doubt that the 87th edition of the Geneva Motor Show, which is just starting, has been fertile in high-powered models, but it is not every day that we have the opportunity to see up close a saloon with 680 hp and 850 Nm, coming from a hybrid powertrain.

These numbers make the Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid the most powerful Panamera ever. And, as we've written before, the first hybrid plug-in to take the top spot in the Panamera range.

Overwhelming specifications

To achieve these values, Porsche “married” a 136 hp electric motor to the 550 hp 4.0 liter twin turbo V8 of the Panamera Turbo. The result is a final combined output of 680 hp at 6000 rpm and 850 Nm of torque between 1400 and 5500 rpm, delivered to all four wheels with the services of the eight-speed PDK dual-clutch gearbox.

In the performance chapter, the numbers follow: 3.4 seconds from 0-100 km/h and 7.6 seconds up to 160 km/h . The maximum speed is 310 km/h. These figures are even more impressive when we look at the scale and notice that this Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid weighs more than 2.3 tonnes (315 kg more than the new Porsche Panamera Turbo).

The additional weight is justified by the installation of the components necessary for electric propulsion. The 14.1 kWh battery pack, like the 4 E-Hybrid, allows for a official electric range of up to 50 km . The Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid thus manages not only to increase the performance of the Panamera Turbo, but also promises lower consumption and emissions.
