Matt LeBlanc replaces Chris Evans as Top Gear's main presenter, alongside Chris Harris and Rory Reid. Season 24 is scheduled to premiere next year.

The BBC announced this Monday the range of presenters for the next season of the program Top Gear. As had been speculated, the American actor and presenter Matt LeBlanc renewed the link for two more seasons, thus assuming the role of main presenter of the program, after the departure of Chris Evans last month of July.

Matt LeBlanc will be joined by Chris Harris and Rory Reid, who also return as hosts of Extra Gear – the spin-off aired after the main show. Confirmed are also Eddie Jordan, Sabine Shmitz and of course, the service pilot best known for "The Stig".

“I'm extremely happy for Matt LeBlanc's return to Top Gear. He's a huge talent whose passion for automobiles is infectious. I can't wait for the series to return to BBC Two next year”, revealed Patrick Holland, editor of the British channel. BBC Studios director Mark Linsey shares the same opinion. "Matt was very popular with viewers of the last season of Top Gear thanks to his humour, enthusiasm and passion for the show and cars, so I couldn't be happier with his decision to come back and do more for the show."
