For many, the Porsche Carrera GT is already perfect, but there are always those who think it could be even better. Enter Gemballa, the well-known coach. In 2007, the year in which the production of the Carrera GT ends (1270 units), we got to know the Gemballa Mirage GT , the (even) most hardcore interpretation of the German super sports car.

Presented as a small series of 25 units, Gemballa's intervention on the Carrera GT left nothing to chance — aerodynamics, chassis, engine — to elevate the already high capacities of the Carrera GT.

Among the highlights, the work carried out in the phenomenal 5.7 l naturally aspirated V10 of the Carrera GT, which saw its power rise from the original 612 hp to the 670 hp at 8000 rpm and torque from 590Nm to 630Nm. The V10's epic sound hasn't been forgotten either, with the original exhaust system swapped for a stainless steel one with two dual exhausts.

The changes made allowed the Gemballa Mirage GT to reach 100 km/h in 3.7s (-0.2s than the Carrera GT), with the advertised top speed only being indicated as higher than 335 km/h (330 km/h). in the Carrera GT).
