Porsche. Charging stations have Portuguese technology

Anonim

About a year ago, the Portuguese company Efacec established a contract with Porsche to supply charging stations in various parts of Europe. The first two stations for the German brand were recently opened at a dealership in Berlin, Germany.

These 350 kW chargers, developed in conjunction with the company from Matosinhos, are intended for internal use by Porsche, for charging batteries. More than serving the current Cayenne S E-Hybrid, Panamera 4 E-Hybrid and Panamera Turbo S e-Hybrid, these stations are part of a fast charging infrastructure that will power future Porsche electric models – specifically the next Mission And (below), scheduled for 2020.

Porsche's choice of Efacec came after fierce international competition, and reinforced the company's position as the market leader in fast-charging electric vehicles at a global level.

Efacec debuted its new range of high voltage chargers earlier this year, which stand out for their charging speed – it is possible to achieve 80% charge in just over 15 minutes.

After Berlin, Porsche will build a similar charging infrastructure in Atlanta, USA. So it's us?
