The more compact version of the Fiat Tipo (already sold in Portugal in the 3-volume version) will be present in Geneva.
The new Fiat Tipo hatchback shares the same physical (except the rear) and technological components of the sedan version, which is already on sale in Portugal. The model name derives from a model that, between 1988 and 1995, sold more than two million copies and was awarded Car of the Year in 1989.The small family is known for being able to reconcile the reduced exterior dimensions, with a generously spacious interior and a competitive price. With regard to on-board technology, the new Fiat Tipo has the Uconnect system with a 5-inch touchscreen that allows the use of the hands-free system, reading messages and voice recognition commands, iPod integration, etc. As an option, we can opt for a parking assist camera and navigation system.
The Fiat Tipo hatchback is expected to use the same engines as the sedan version, that is: two diesel engines, the 1.3 multijet with 95hp and the 1.6 multijet with 120hp, and a 1.4 gasoline engine with 95hp.
