The British superbrand is no joke and clearly states that "the new McLaren P1 is the best car in the world on the tracks and on the streets". That's perhaps too powerful a statement, isn't it? No! Everyone already knows McLaren's potential – for many the MP4-12C is already one of the best supersports in the world (if not the best) – they have one of the best factories in the world, they have the best engineers and designers in the world and they have enough money to create the “best car in the world on the pitas and on the streets”. Therefore, this statement does not surprise us...
The MP4-12C itself will be afraid of its younger cousin, the P1 will be faster and much more expensive than McLaren's current golden boy. There are all kinds of rumors on the internet, but there is one that stuck in our minds: 3.8 liter V8 with 803 hp aided by a 160 hp KERS, in other words, 963 hp of power! God hear you...
The copy you see in the images won't be exactly the same as the production model, but it shouldn't go very far from it. However, McLaren will present this “design study” at the Paris Motor Show and, still unconfirmed, expect to see the P1 on the streets within 12 months.
