British buys BMW M3 tested by Jeremy Clarkson

A BMW M3 for less than 70,000 euros sounds like a good deal, right? Well, sometimes the cheap is expensive.

Rob Willis, a 27-year-old Brit, decided to buy a BMW M3 for £50,000 (about €69,000) at a local dealership in Kent, Great Britain. So far so good. The problem was that days later, Willis began to realize that something was wrong with the car's brakes and steering.

A month after making the purchase, while watching an episode of Top Gear with his fiancee, the young woman noticed that eccentric Jeremy Clarkson was behind the wheel of a car the color of hers. It wasn't just the color… it was his car!

“It's shocking, I have an eight-year-old daughter and three nephews whose lives were put at risk,” said Rob Willis, realizing that his BMW M3 had not been in top condition after participating in the Top Gear programme. Faced with this situation, the brand's representative gave a replacement car (BMW 330d) to the young Brit.

The dealer later admitted the error, considering that the BMW M3 was in "unsuitable conditions for road driving".
