At a time when a new Land Rover Defender is already announced, which will be officially unveiled later this year, taking advantage of the brand's 70th anniversary celebrations, the British brand resurrects the “old man” Defender, for a very special series of only 150 units.
It is a tribute to the bestseller born in 1947 and which stopped being produced in 2016 due to strict safety and emission regulations in force in Europe.
After the announced end of production, which led to special editions and even a farewell by the employees who did so, the brand reserved some units to close the cycle once and for all, and as the date is special, this is also a very special Defender.

And so comes the last of the latest special editions of the Land Rover Defender, as it could only be for collectors.
Special in what?
Firstly, because it is an edition that celebrates the brand's 70th anniversary. Afterwards, because it brings a block 5.0 liter naturally aspirated V8 with 405 hp and 515 Nm of torque. Even more so because it will be the most powerful Land Rover Defender ever produced.
To be aware, the Defender Works V8 reaches 100 km/h in 5.6 seconds and, probably for safety, it will be limited to 170 km/h.
In addition, it has a ZF eight-speed automatic transmission with a… sporty mood — that's right!
Springs, dampers and bars were also naturally revised and it is possible to count on 18″ alloy wheels and 265/65 tires with mixed tyres.
It also features Recaro sports seats, infotainment system and LED lights. The powerful new Defender will be available in eight colors, in bodies 90 and 110.
The price, in the UK, for the shortest bodywork, as seen in the images, is £150,000, equivalent to approximately 170,000 euros.
