The world of "four-wheel finds" does not live only from McLaren F1. Just this week we unveiled a copy never registered or driven by its sole owner. Today we unveil a more modest machine, but no less interesting and definitely more accessible to common mortals: an immaculate Honda S2000.
An object of desire at the turn of this century and today a rather rare creature. Rare in the sense that finding an original used S2000 in good condition, with no accidents on the resume, is the equivalent of finding a needle in a haystack or rather like finding a unicorn.
And a unicorn is what this Honda S2000 for sale looks like. It's in the US, it's from 2002, it's only 800 km long and it only had one owner.
According to information from the seller, C and P Imports, the only owner of the car is also a collector, which can justify the immaculate condition of this unit and the low mileage.
It is a S2000 of the AP1 generation and comes in New Formula Red color. The engine is the glorious F20C, with North American specifications: four cylinders in line with 2000 cm3, “kick” VTEC as standard and 240 hp at a whopping 8300 rpm. But it could reach 8900 rpm before the limiter kicks in. Epic! For many years, it was the atmospheric engine with the highest specific power: 125 hp/l, considering the JDM version that debited 250 hp.
This Honda S2000 received a brand new battery and a full service － less than 800 km in 15 years shouldn't give you much health.
It was available on ebay until yesterday, but it doesn't seem to have found a buyer. It is still for sale in the space of C and P Imports for just over 33,000 euros and will definitely be a valuable addition to any collection. Although we are of the opinion that this type of machines were not born to gather dust in a garage, but to be driven. Do you agree?
