After the GT 53, GT 63 and GT 63S, Mercedes-AMG has now unveiled the less powerful of the Mercedes-AMG GT 4 ports. But still sporting the same in-line 3.0 gas-powered six-cylinder as the GT 53.
However, as an access version, the Mercedes-AMG GT 43 4MATIC+ 4-door — rolls your tongue a little, doesn't it? — features less horsepower, announcing no more than 367 hp of power and 500 Nm of torque, against the brother's 435 hp and 520 Nm.
As a result of this loss of 68 hp and 20 Nm, the GT 43 adds 0.4s to the value obtained by the GT 53 in the acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h, totaling 4.9s, while the announced maximum speed is situated at 270 km/h – 15 km/h less than the brother immediately above.

In favor of the GT 43 plays, however, the fact that it makes all the power available earlier than the GT 53 (at 5500 rpm, against 6100 rpm in the second), while all the torque comes at exactly the same level: 1800 rpm.

Equal arguments in the adoption of 4Matic+ all-wheel drive with fully variable torque distribution, nine-speed automatic transmission, as well as EQ Boost — composed of an electric motor-generator positioned between the engine and the transmission, powered by an electric system of 48 V — to guarantee an increase of 22 hp and 250 Nm, if only for a few moments.
The only Mercedes-AMG GT below 100,000 euros… in Germany
As for prices, the Mercedes-AMG GT 43 4MATIC+ 4-door Coupé is the only variant of the 4-door AMG GT below 100,000 euros, with an entry price of “only” 95,259 euros.
This, of course, is in Germany, a market where the star brand is already receiving orders, with the promise that, although less powerful, the GT 43 will come up with basically the same equipment and options as the more powerful GT 53.
Prices for Portugal
In Portugal, the Mercedes-AMG GT 43 starts at 111,900 euros and the Mercedes-AMG GT 43 4MATIC+ starts at 118,550 euros. The intermediate version, the Mercedes-AMG GT 53 4MATIC+ has an announced price of 130,300 euros.
