This is not the first time that the new Renault Clio is caught in tests, more precisely, this is the second time that someone manages to catch the responsible of the French brand off guard and thus capture some images.
The new generation Clio will be unveiled at this year's Paris Motor Show, meaning Renault engineers have just over four months to complete all the development work that remains.
The prototype we see in the screenshots has a structure and style very similar to the prototype that was picked up earlier, which is understandable. It is recalled that the first prototype was seen earlier this year. However, there is a small difference in the door panels, both the front and rear doors seem to have been "hammered" while resting in the workshop... It remains to be seen if this small modification was intentional or if it was just made to deceive the most curious .
As far as powertrains are concerned, a 0.9-liter three-cylinder with around 90 hp and a new 1.2-liter with 112 hp are expected. Another rumor is the creation of a Renault Clio Sport, but little or nothing is known about it...
The man in charge of the entire design of the new Clio is Laurens van den Acker, former Mazda designer. Now it remains for us to know if the acquisition of this designer by Renault was worth it…
