Boreas. This Spanish supercar wants to challenge the «holy trinity»

He promised and fulfilled. The Spanish company DSD Design & Motorsport this weekend unveiled its first super sports car, a presentation sponsored by Michelin. The name Boreas was inspired by Greek mythology – the god of the cold north wind.

According to the brand, it is a sports plug-in hybrid with 1000 hp of power, capable of rivaling the most holy trinity: Ferrari LaFerrari, McLaren P1 and Porsche 918 Spyder. Ambition is not lacking…

Boreas

The first images confirm what was expected: an exotic model with a body that emphasizes aerodynamics – the retractable aileron, luminous signature and the design of the bumpers and exhaust outlets focus all the attention on them.

Boreas

On the technical characteristics or the benefits, not a word. For now, it is only known that the Boreas will have about a hundred kilometers of autonomy in 100% electric mode.

The sports car will be produced in just 12 units – just like the number of descendants of the mythological character… -, each one produced in Santa Pola, Alicante (Spain). For now, the price is unknown, but taking into account the number of units produced and the entire planned technological compendium, it is not at all unlikely that this value will reach seven digits.

Boreas will participate in the Goodwood Festival later this month, where it will likely be possible to see the sport in progress for the first time. And the Automobile Reason will be there!
