Is this the last appearance of the Nissan 370Z?

To commemorate the 50th anniversary of the iconic “Z” series, Nissan will bring a special edition Nissan 370Z Heritage Edition to the New York Motor Show.

It was in 1969 that Nissan launched the 240Z, the first model in a lineage of sports cars that would last to this day. There are therefore two years to go until the 50th anniversary of the first model in the Z series, but Nissan did not want to wait and took the opportunity of the New York Motor Show to present this special edition of the sports car.

In addition to the yellow chicane yellow on the bodywork, with black designs, the Nissan 370Z will also be available in black magnetic black with silver designs (these two versions share the same configuration).

The “Heritage Edition” also includes new light groups (front and rear), a revised grille, new door handles and, for versions with manual transmission, a reinforced Exedy clutch.

Under the hood, everything the same. This edition is equipped with a 3.7 liter V6 engine with 328 hp (the 344 hp version remains exclusive to the Nismo version), coupled with a six-speed manual or seven-speed automatic transmission.

Everything indicates that this version will be an exclusive to the American market (on sale later this spring), so we will hardly see the Heritage Edition on this side of the Atlantic.

As for the next generation "Z" (the 7th of the sports car), there is no certainty about the launch of a successor, which leads us to question: is this the last appearance of the Z series? We hope not.
