Galp will install more 18 electric vehicle quick chargers during 2018, thus starting to operate with 36 chargers of this type.

These chargers allow you to charge 80% of the battery in about 20 minutes.

In addition to guaranteeing international connections to Spain and central Europe, the first chargers of this type will be installed in urban areas, namely four in Lisbon and three in Porto.

Galp's strategy for electric mobility is based on partnerships with Efacec , which produces and develops the fast charging points, the furniture and , which manages the electrical charging infrastructure, and the main car manufacturers.

Since 2010, the year in which Galp's first electric fast charging point was installed – in the Oeiras service area, on the A5 – followed by others: Pombal and Aveiras, on the A1, which made it possible to connect Lisbon and Porto on both senses, between Lisbon and the Algarve (2016) and seven other fast chargers in 2017, expanding the network to 18.

In total there are 55 quick charger stations in operation.

Galp has also ensured coverage of the national territory with LPG and installed natural gas supply points on the major trans-Iberian highways for heavy road transport of goods.
