When talking about maximum powers, Bugatti Veyron is the first name that comes to mind. But will the Veyron be able to keep up with the new Ferrari La Ferrari in the “race of nine”?
The answer to this question is "no". Although the maximum power of the Bugatti Veyron is higher (1001hp) and has all-wheel drive, the Volkswagen Group model throws away all the advantage over the Ferrari LaFerrari due to its superior weight.

Despite having only rear-wheel drive, the model from Maranello's house counterattacks with 963hp of maximum power, 700Nm of maximum torque and a weight in running order much lower than the Bugatti.
Above all, this is a victory for automotive engineering, which has come a long way over the past 10 years. Today, talking about powers around 1000hp is much more common than it was a decade ago. The result is in sight.
