Audi SQ7 arrives in Portugal in June

With eyes set on performance, the new SUV of the German brand hits the national market next month. Razão Automóvel is in Switzerland driving for the first time what is the most powerful diesel SUV on the market.

The Ingolstadt brand has unveiled the latest version of the Audi Q7, which gets a sporty streak and “eye-opening” specifications. The Audi SQ7 features a 4.0 liter V8 TDI block with 435 hp and 900 Nm of torque, and is equipped with the quattro all-wheel drive system and an 8-speed automatic transmission.

In addition, the Audi SQ7 stands out for its new electrically powered compressor (EPC), a first for a production vehicle. According to the brand, this system allows to reduce the response time between pressing the accelerator and the effective response of the engine, better known as “turbo lag”.

As you can guess, the performance is mind-boggling: the Audi SQ7 only needs 4.8 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100km/h, while the top speed is 250 km/h (electronically limited). The most powerful diesel SUV on the market arrives in Portugal in June, with prices starting at €120,000.
