Porsche lost all shame

Anonim

Wipe your tears, we are men. Okay… men cry too! Cry out… we too are in tears at not being one of the 1,000 happy owners of the new Porsche 911 GT2 RS.

It's the most powerful 911 in history, the most virile, the most radical, the most shameless. Look at it… it could be called a Porsche 911 GT2 VSV ( V this is s in V shame). Two-tone bodywork, aerodynamic appendages throughout and a giant rear wing (no, it's not a spoiler…).

Carbon fiber is everywhere – from the mirror covers to the panels that surround the front wheels – and the exhaust system is all in titanium – seven kilograms less compared to the 911 Turbo -, culminating in two huge “bazookas” in the rear .

Inside, the spectacle of colors and carbon fiber continues. The red Alcantara-coated areas contrast dramatically with the black leather, reminding every detail that we are inside a Porsche 911 GT2 RS. Roll cage, ultra-lightweight carbon seats… it's all there.

The icing on the cake is the inscription “Weissach RS” on the seats and dashboard, part of the Weissach package, which is optional. It stands out for removing 30 kilos from the already competitive 1470 kilos “standard”, which includes a carbon fiber roof and anti-approach bars, and magnesium wheels.

And it even has a watch to match. In collaboration with Porsche Design, and available exclusively to Porsche 911 GT2 RS customers, like the car, it uses materials such as carbon fiber and is visually inspired by it.

Widow-maker. Guess why…

Goodwood was the chosen stage to present the GT2 RS. The nickname «widow-maker» didn't come out of nowhere… It's 700 hp of power and 750 Nm of torque, courtesy of the 3.8 flat-six (obviously) twin-turbo engine. Traction? Only the rear wheels, although huge: 325/30 ZR 21 (265/35 ZR 20 at the front). Stop it? It could only be in charge of carbon fiber brake discs.

Available only with a seven-speed PDK dual-clutch gearbox, the new Porsche 911 GT2 RS is capable of accelerating from 0-100 km/h in just 2.8 seconds and reaching a top speed of 340 km/h. Now if you allow us, let's go play the EuroMillions there – this week there is a €100 million jackpot.
