World champion of Formula 1 in 2009, Briton Jenson Button has kept, in his garage, among several other supersports, a McLaren P1 – one of the most exclusive models of the Woking brand, of which only 375 were made.

However, as Button himself made a point of saying, through a post on his Instagram, it came to the time of separation:

I decided to sell my McLaren P1 so that someone else has a chance to enjoy it more than I can. It's a difficult decision, but from the moment I decided to move to the USA, I no longer had any possibility of regularly driving this machine. The last time was, by the way, when I went to Silverstone, last August, for the WEC race.

Give up P1 to continue with a McLaren

After announcing his retirement from Formula 1, the British driver decided to move to the United States. However, despite having left his P1 in the UK, that didn't mean he didn't have any McLaren anymore; on the contrary, Button immediately received, in Los Angeles, a McLaren 675LT, with specifications identical to those of the P1 he had in Europe.

Jenson Button's McLaren P1 has an exterior color in Grauschwartz Gray with Stealth Pack and an interior Gray MSO/Black Alcantara, to which it adds applications in carbon fiber, forged alloy wheels, TPMS, brake discs in carbon ceramic with yellow calipers and front and rear parking sensors.

Inside, we find interior linings in Alcantara with dots in Cadmium Yellow, Meridian sound system, vehicle tracking system, in addition to the optional “MSO Track Mode 2”, a system that allows the British super sports car to have a Race mode. but for road use.

With a Bugatti Veyron, a Honda NSX, a Nissan GT-R and a Ferrari Enzo in the garage, among many other dream cars, the truth is that Button had few opportunities to ride his McLaren P1. The car has only 887 kilometers on the odometer.

916 hp for something like 1.8 million

Powered by a gasoline V8, combined with an electric motor, the P1 announces a combined maximum power of 916 hp and 720 Nm of torque, values that allow it to accelerate up to 100 km/h in 2.8s, as well as reach 350 km/h of maximum speed.
