Cold Start. Citroen Méhari. The plastic convertible and “out of the box”

Anonim

Designed by SEAB, a company specializing in plastic molding, the Citroën Méhari was probably one of the most versatile and unusual — not least because of its construction, almost entirely in plastic and washable with water(!) — convertibles in memory. Despite its apparent fragility, it was also extremely resistant, even in mechanics — imported directly from the Citroën 2CV.

Produced by Citroën over two decades, from 1968 to 1988, it was even entitled, in a second generation, to the 4×4 version. Which, surprising for its off-road qualities, even performed as a medical vehicle in the 1980 Paris Dakar Rally.

Today's Cold Start is our tribute to one of the most democratic and unpretentious convertibles in memory.
