Since it was launched in 1976, few Volkswagen models have managed to achieve the status and popularity of the Golf GTI – it is no coincidence that it is considered by many to be the “father of sport hatchbacks”.
Despite the differences from the first generations, the current Golf GTI maintains the characteristics of its predecessors: practical, fast and truly sporty.
The 245 hp of power, coming from the 2.0 TSI engine, is capable of accelerating the Golf GTI from 0-100 km/h in 6.2 seconds, before reaching 250 km/h of maximum speed. It is the model with the best performance in the GT family.

Volkswagen Golf GTD
A sports car with a diesel engine? This is a natural and perfectly understandable reaction – Volkswagen's challenge was to make the Golf GTD a model with a dynamic and driving pleasure as close as possible to the «gasoline brother». The German brand guarantees that this objective was fulfilled.
At the heart of the Golf GTD is a 2.0 TDI engine with 184 hp and 380 Nm. Here the focus was not only on performance but also on efficiency – Volkswagen advertises 4.6 liters/100 km and 122 grams of CO2/km, respectively. A more rational choice, without losing your sporty streak.

Volkswagen Golf GTE
For those who want to combine the performance of a gasoline engine with the consumption and emissions of an electric unit, the Golf GTE is the right choice in the range. This plug-in hybrid option in Volkswagen's compact family range has been the subject of a recent aesthetic update, appearing more modern and stylish.
The propulsion is delivered by a 1.4 TSI engine and an electric unit with an 8.7 kWh battery pack. Together, these two engines deliver a combined maximum power of 204 hp and a torque of 350 Nm. Despite the additional weight of the batteries, the German brand ensures that the dynamic credentials are very close to the GTD and GTI.
