After these words, the controversial Tesla CEO announced surprising numbers. According to Elon Musk, the Tesla Roadster will be able to reach 0 to 100 km/h in just 1.9 seconds and 0 to 160 km/h in 4.2 seconds, the maximum autonomy will be 1000 kilometers. The top speed — a value at which trams rarely shine — is also surprising: over 400 km/h.
How is all this going to work?
The new Tesla Roadster is equipped with three engines, one on the front axle and two on the rear axle. The maximum torque advertised is 10,000 Nm. Yes… ten thousand newton-meters, but at full speed! To supply this power plant, the Tesla Roadster will come equipped with batteries with a capacity of 200 kWh.
Another advantage of this model compared to traditional supersports is the number of seats. In place of the engine, usually in a central position, are two places.
