Interior of new Mercedes-Benz A-Class W177 revealed

The current generation Mercedes-Benz A-Class (W176) has been a real sales success. The German brand has never sold as many cars as it does now, and one of the main culprits is the Class A.

Still, the current generation of this "bestseller" is not without criticism. Particularly regarding the quality of the interior, a few holes below what is expected from a premium brand. It seems that the brand listened to the criticism and for the 4th generation of the A-Class (W177) it revised that aspect in a radical way.

Examples come from above

There is a radical cut with the current Mercedes-Benz A-Class. In this 4th generation, Mercedes-Benz decided to level the A-Class on top. The examples are said to come from above and that's what happened. From the S-Class it inherited the steering wheel and from the E-Class it inherited the design of the instrument panel and infotainment system.

As for the materials used, from what is possible to see in the images, there seems to have been greater care in the choice of plastics and other elements — a perception that lacks direct contact with the model.

New, more practical Mercedes-Benz A-Class

In addition to the improvements in terms of style and equipment, the new Mercedes-Class A (W177) will also be more practical. The platform was completely overhauled and it was possible to increase visibility in all directions thanks to the reduction in volume of the A, B and C pillars — something that should only have been possible due to the use of high-strength steel.

Mercedes-Benz also claims more space for the occupants (in all directions) and a luggage capacity of 370 liters (+29 liters). More practical? No doubt.
