With 1001 hp and 1250 Nm extracted from a W16 with 8.0 l capacity, the Bugatti Veyron is still one of the most powerful production cars ever, asserting itself as a testament to the “stubbornness” of the iconic Ferdinand Piëch.
Until today, we had not seen anyone question the power values presented by the Veyron, with the majority assuming that the declared value would be the real one. However, the Royalty Exotic Cars team believes the Bugatti hypersport has some hidden horses and so has taken it to a power bank.
At the end of three tests, the Veyron registered a wheel power of 897 hp and a torque of 1232 Nm (The power that reaches the wheels is always less than that produced by the engine due to transmission losses).

Bearing in mind that, according to the team that tested the Veyron, the power losses in the transmission correspond to 20%, just do the math quickly to discover that the engine of the tested Bugatti Veyron (which was standard) produces impressive and healthy ones. 1076 hp and 1479 Nm of torque, much more than the advertised values.
