Ken Block unveils new 1400 hp bi-turbo «Hoonicorn»

Ken Block has just introduced the Hoonicorn V2, the successor to one of the most extreme cars that has ever passed through the hands of the American driver.

Remember the 850 hp Hoonicorn used by Ken Block to “terrorize” the city of Los Angeles? Well then, the 1965 Ford Mustang (made to order by RTR) is back with even more power. To extract the 1400 hp from the 6.7-litre V8 engine, it took not one but two turbochargers to proudly display themselves under the bonnet, as can be seen in the pictures.

“We already had the approval of a new video with Hoonicorn, but for that I needed more power. So I developed a concept from an idea I had – two turbos coming out through the hood – and turned the project over to my team,” said Ken Block.

On the outside, the decoration of the Hoonicorn V2 – the name appears as a derivation of the expression “hooning” which serves to describe a driving with the «knife-to-teeth» – was inspired by the stars & stripes of the Ford Escort Mk2 RS. Ken Block reveals that his new Hoonicorn is not an easy machine to tame: “When I say this is the scariest car I've ever driven… I'm not exaggerating. It's a truly crazy experience," said Ken Block himself.

For the less brave, Ken Block suggests an alternative way to take advantage of the two new turbochargers: a “marshmallow barbecue”. Confused? Watch the video below:
