We start by saying that it is not advisable (at all) to do these fun maneuvers on public roads. Dangers are always around the corner. The best place to learn is on a closed circuit, where you are 100% sure that you control practically every variable (except your talent… or lack of it ? ). note: highlighted an image of us showing how it's done.To begin, there are four minimum ingredients to cook a drift maneuver well : manual transmission (debatable…), a car with generous power (preferred), rear-wheel drive (naturally!) and the possibility to deactivate the car's traction and stabilization system, better known as ESP, lifeguard or spoilsport ( choose the one you prefer). We could mention the limited-slip differential but the idea is to drift with any car.
