Since Monday, DeLorean Motor Company has been accepting reservations for the next DMC-12, the famous car from the movie Back to the Future.
Earlier this year, DeLorean Motor Company (DMC) announced the return to production of the DMC-12. A new version of the Return to the Future car, practically the same as the classic released in 1981 and which will even have components from the original car that were kept over time.
Since then, the American company – which owns the rights to the name “DeLorean” – has been working on the development of this icon from the 1980s. Although production has not yet started (it is planned for next year), the final details they are already being finalized and it is now possible to place a pre-order order.

There are still some "unfinished edges" in relation to the legislation and also to the engine and interiors, but for now, the project looks promising. DMC says that there are still a few months to get to know the final price of the car, but it is speculated that the value could exceed 100,000 dollars, around 91,000 euros.As expected, production will be quite limited. The plan calls for producing one car per month for the first 12 months of production, and one car per week for the following year.
