Cold Start. The Chinese Honda Integra looks like… a Civic

Anonim

The saying goes that “there is no hunger that does not give in abundance” and after many years waiting for the return of the Integra, Honda decided to use the iconic name in two different models: the Acura Integra, anticipated by a pair of teasers, and a new Honda Integra destined for the Chinese market.

If the first one confirms that it won't be a “pure and hard” coupe, but rather a five-door “coupe”, the second, the “Chinese” Honda Integra, doesn't seem to be more than a Civic sedan with some touches.

Produced by Guangqi Honda in Guagzhou, the new Integra shares the interior, silhouette and many exterior panels with the Civic also sold in China but produced by Dongfeng Honda in Wuhan.

There are already two models with the Integra designation, but none of them is a coupé in the image of the original model.

The distinction between them is made based on the slimmer LED headlamps and smaller “L” rear lights, on the “cleaner” design front bumper and also on the rear bumper, which now has a diffuser, vertical reflectors and a double exhaust outlet.

Taking into account the proximity between this Honda Integra and the Civic, do you think that this one “deserves” to use this name or should it have adopted another designation? Leave your opinion in the comments.
