Today the best-selling electric vehicle in the world, the Nissan Leaf has just reached this mark thanks to the performance not only of the current second generation, whose commercialization in Europe started about eight months ago, but also with the contribution of its predecessor.

Since it arrived at European dealers, the new generation already has more than 37,000 orders, which means that a Nissan Leaf is sold every 10 minutes.

Globally, Nissan's 100% electric saloon has sold over 320,000 units, making it the world's best-selling electric vehicle.

Remember that the new Nissan Leaf is the first Nissan model in Europe to include the Nissan ProPILOT and ProPILOT Park technologies.

The second generation Leaf also incorporates innovative Nissan e-Pedal technology, which allows drivers to start, accelerate, decelerate and stop by simply increasing or decreasing the pressure applied to the accelerator pedal.

According to Nissan, Leaf's European customers have traveled more than two billion kilometers and prevented the emission of more than 300,000 tonnes of CO2.

It comes as no surprise to us that the Nissan LEAF is the best-selling electric car in the world. We have been developing our mass-market electric car offering for longer than any other brand and are proud to produce a visionary and affordable car for customers across Europe. In less than 10 years we have managed to make the mass-market electric car a reality
