Car stands start to open doors from next Monday

After about three weeks ago the face-to-face commerce of motor vehicles was suspended, the stands can prepare to reopen their doors with the end of the state of emergency.

At a meeting with the social partners, the Government will have announced that from May 4th (next Monday) some commercial establishments will be able to reopen their doors.

These are small shops up to 200 m2 hairdressers, bookstores and, of course, car showrooms. In the case of these last three establishments, the size of the commercial space is irrelevant.

With this decision, the stands can now be open as was the case with car repair and maintenance establishments, the sale of parts and accessories and even towing services.

The decision to reopen the car stands thus puts an end to the suspension of face-to-face trade in motor vehicles decreed by Dispatch No. 4148/2020.

If you remember, the measure was taken in an attempt to contain the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic that led to the decree of three consecutive states of emergency and the closure of several sectors of the economy.
