It is the “fastest four-seater luxury model on the planet”. This was said by Bentley herself, as she unveiled the new Continental Supersports in Geneva.

About to sell out the last cartridges of the current generation Continental, Bentley revealed earlier this year the first images of the new Continental Supersports. In Geneva, the sports car made its world debut to the public.

On the outside, Continental Supersports showcases new bumpers (front/rear) with carbon fiber components, new air intakes, side skirts, ceramic brakes hidden behind the new set of 21-inch wheels and, finally, black trim all over the body.

Also available as an option is the carbon fiber rear wing and the front splitter.

Inside, the Bentley Continental Supersports comes equipped with seats and door panels in Alcantara leather, both with a “diamond” pattern, in a mix of luxury and exclusivity.

When placed on the scale, the Bentley Continental Supersports weighs 2,280kg, making it the lightest model in the range.

the most powerful ever

And if in aesthetic terms the British brand promised that this would be the most radical Bentley ever, in mechanical terms the Continental Supersports is also the most powerful.

To the well-known 6.0-liter W12 engine, coupled with an eight-speed automatic transmission, the brand's engineers added a pair of high-performance turbos and opted for a new cooling system, in addition to other minor fixes. Result: a total of 710 hp of power and 1017 Nm of torque.

Thanks to this – and also to the new traction control system, combined with the torque vectoring system derived from the GT3-R – Bentley is proud to announce features that are also unprecedented in the brand's history.

Accelerations from 0 to 100 km/h are accomplished in just 3.5 seconds (3.9 seconds in the future convertible version), while the top speed reaches 336 km/h.

The launch of the Bentley Continental Supersports is scheduled for the end of the year, when the new generation of Continental may also be introduced. A big farewell!
