Alentejo GNR receives unexpected thanks

Anonim

There are stories that deserve to be told. And this story, which involves the GNR transit station in Vendas Novas, two Japanese people and a flat tire, undoubtedly falls into this category.

During our usual daily news search for Razão Automóvel, we found the story of two Japanese dismounted in Alentejo who, thanks to the ready help of two GNR soldiers, managed to continue their journey. The story was published on the GNR do Alentejo Facebook page.

We liked the humorous way in which the Alentejo GNR shared the episode so much that we decided to transcribe the entire text, accompanied by the illustration made by the assisted Japanese:

“Sometimes there are days like that. During a normal patrol action, our Cabos Nuno Letras and José Oliveira, from the Vendas Novas Transit Station, helped two Japanese nationals to change a tyre. Until here, business as usual . But after a few days, this postcard arrived. From Japan by plane. No, kidding, it was from London, but that way it didn't rhyme.

Thank you, Shiho Watänabe – that meanwhile through the card, we also learned a correspondent in the British capital of the prestigious The Asahi Shimbun!”
