The next-generation Macan will be exclusively electric, a decision officially announced by Porsche, but the current generation will make the most of all that hydrocarbons have to offer — just see the new specs. Porsche Macan Turbo.
Under the hood we still find a V6, but this one is new. The previous 3.6 l block gave way to a new 2.9 l block — the same unit we can find in other Porsches, like the Cayenne or the Panamera.
The engine's capacity may have decreased, but this “hot V” with two turbochargers is even more powerful: 40 hp more, totaling 440 hp and 550 Nm of maximum torque. The only transmission available is a seven-speed PDK (dual clutch) and four-wheel drive (Porsche Traction Management or PTM).
The increase in equidae is reflected in the benefits. When equipped with the Sport Chrono package, is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.3s, 0.3s less than before, and up to 200 km/h it takes 16.9s. Top speed also rose 4 km/h, reaching 270 km/h.

Another new feature of the Porsche Macan Turbo is that it comes equipped as standard with PSCB (Porsche Surface Coated Brake) brakes, debuted by the Cayenne.
These brakes feature a tungsten carbide coating on the discs which, in addition to offering a more biting action, wear less and generate up to 90% less brake dust, compared to conventional brakes. They are also characterized by their glossy finish and white tongs, and become an option on all other Macan.
For the most demanding, PCCB (Porsche Ceramic Composite Brake) or carbon-ceramic brakes are available as an option.
The chassis is also made up of a pneumatic suspension, adjustable in height, with new hydraulic shock absorbers; the wheels, again designed, are 20″; and optionally available is PTV Plus (Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus), Porsche's torque vectoring system.
How much does it cost?
In addition to the mechanical and dynamic novelties, the new Porsche Macan Turbo stands out from the other Macan for the presence of specific bumpers, a double rear wing, side skirts and Sport Design mirrors.
Inside, the smooth leather sports seats, adjustable in 18 ways, and the standard BOSE® Surround system with 14 speakers and 665 W. a heated GT sports steering wheel inherited from the 911.
The new Porsche Macan Turbo is now available for order in the national market, with the price from 126 860 euros.
