Capable of covering up to 322 km of autonomy on a single 50 kWh battery charge, the Mokka-e was perhaps the best way to present the reinvented Opel Mokka , which in this second generation loses the X, debuts the next Opel design language, and is more compact on the outside, but no more bashful on the inside.
Time to meet the other Mokka, those powered by combustion engines and also meet the Mokka GS Line, the sportiest line of equipment.
Predictably, using the Opel Mokka to CMP, the multi-energy platform of Groupe PSA (to which Opel belongs), the same as the Peugeot 2008, one would expect that it would also “inherit” the same thermal mechanics.
Combustion Engines
Thus, the Mokka range with combustion engines is divided into two units, one petrol and one diesel.

For gasoline, we have the 1.2 l tri-cylinder, turbo, with two levels of power, 100 hp and 130 hp. In diesel we have the tetra-cylindrical 1.5 l capacity, with 110 hp. All of them are available with six-speed manual gearboxes, but the eight-speed automatic (EAT8) is only reserved for the 130hp 1.2 Turbo.
The most powerful 130 hp Opel Mokka 1.2 Turbo, when equipped with a manual gearbox, already provides interesting performances, as the 9.2s in the 0 to 100 km/h demonstrate, being able to reach a top speed of 202 km/h. The 1.2 Turbo of 100 hp, however, needs 11s for the same measurement, while the top speed drops to 182 km/h.

Opel Mokka GS Line
Along with the announcement of the new Opel Mokka with heat engines, the version was also unveiled. GS Line , the sportiest-looking equipment line.
As the pictures show, the Opel Mokka GS Line are distinguished by a red trim that accompanies the roof line, bicolor bodywork — black roof and hood — and also with black or glossy black finishes, we have alloy wheels specific lightweight, the Vizor front and the decorative elements and exterior emblems (no longer chrome). Inside, the specific fabric of the front seats and red inserts on the dashboard stand out.
As we saw in the Mokka-e, combustion Mokkas can also be equipped with technological equipment such as the Advanced Speed Programmer, the Active Lane Positioning system, or the IntelliLux LED array headlamps. As standard, all new Opel Mokka come with LED optics, both front and rear, electric parking brake and traffic sign recognition.
Orders for the new Opel Mokka will open at the end of this summer, with the first units expected to arrive in Portugal in early 2021. There are still no prices announced for the Portuguese market.
