Successor of T6.1 (with which it will have to live, with this one taking on the role of a “heavier” commercial), the Volkswagen T7 Multivan he allowed himself to be anticipated not only by a teaser but also by a series of spy photos.

Starting with the teaser, this one is limited to showing a little of the front section and there the biggest highlight turns out to be the adoption of an LED strip that unites the two headlights.

As for the spy photos, they reveal a little more about the new Volkswagen T7 Multivan. At the rear, despite the camouflage, you can see that the solution adopted for the headlights should be similar to the one used on the T-Cross.

That "door" in the front fender gives away plug-in hybrid versions.

Furthermore, in the blue prototype, the presence of a loading door on the right wing indicates that the new Volkswagen MPV will have plug-in hybrid versions.

What do we already know?

Still without an official release date, there are rumors that the new T7 Multivan will be based on the MQB platform, thus relying on 48V mild-hybrid technology.

Volkswagen's new MPV should also feature the aforementioned plug-in hybrid version, with gasoline engine and, of course, diesel engine variants. As for traction, this will be sent to the front wheels or all four wheels depending on the versions.

Another of the rumors (this one with more “strength”) indicates that the Volkswagen T7 Multivan should take the place of Sharan in the range, with the German MPV moving, in this way, to the “sphere” of Volkswagen's commercial division. Now it remains to be seen, if this is confirmed, if the new T7 Multivan will also be produced in Palmela.
