Fire at the SEAT museum. No car was destroyed

Anonim

As you know, the facilities of the SEAT in Martorell, Barcelona, were affected yesterday by a violent fire that spread to the small warehouse A122, where the SEAT historical museum is located (yes, the one to which Guilherme Costa gave you a “guided visit” not long ago).

However, contrary to what many claimed, no car was destroyed. The confirmation is official and was given directly by SEAT to Razão Automóvel . The Spanish brand confirmed that not only were no cars destroyed, but there were no injuries to be registered.

In addition, contrary to what has been advanced, the structure of warehouse A122 was not destroyed, nor did it suffer major damage. All this was only possible thanks to the quick intervention of SEAT employees, who managed to rescue all the cars in the collection (remember, there are more than 200).

The fire started at around 5 pm, local time, in a maintenance workshop, but the causes of the fire are still unknown. In the fight against the flames, 13 firefighters teams were involved and the smoke was visible throughout the city of Barcelona, even affecting circulation in some streets near the SEAT installations.

A private (and almost sect) museum

If you remember the article we brought you recently about the SEAT museum, not just anyone who goes into space that was affected by the flames yesterday . It's just that the doors of warehouse A122 are rarely open to “strangers”. However, Razão Automóvel was authorized to visit that space and we got to know the cars that SEAT employees saved yesterday.

So, from the first SEAT 1400 (the first model of the Spanish brand), passing through the SEAT 600, SEAT Cordoba WRC and even a SEAT Marbella created especially for the Pope's travels, there is not a piece of the history of the Spanish brand that is not represented in that museum.

In the end, we just have to thank all the SEAT employees for the courage shown to save all those cars, you are true Petrolhead.
