SEAT el-Born on video. SEAT's first 100% electric

It appeared at the Swiss salon as a prototype, but the production version of the SEAT el-Born is already scheduled to arrive in 2020. It will be the brand's first 100% electric model to derive from MEB, the Volkswagen Group's dedicated platform for electric vehicles.

The temporal proximity to its entry into production indicates that the el-Born that we got to know in Geneva is quite close to the final production version, and nothing shows this better than its interior, with an emphasis on the 10″ screen of the infotainment system, far from the typical show-off of salon concepts.

The numbers put forward by SEAT are juicy. Despite the compact dimensions — similar to a C-segment, like a Leon —, the el-Born has 204 hp (150 kW), capable of launching it up to 100 km/h in just 7.5s.

The advertised electrical autonomy is expressive 420 km , and the battery pack has a capacity of 62 kWh. Highlight for the 47 minutes it takes to charge 80% of the battery's total capacity, if connected to a 100 kW DC charger.

Diogo reveals these and other details about SEAT el-Born in another video by Razão Automóvel.
