Anonim

After we have already shown you countless drag races with some of the most exotic cars in the world, we decided to bring you a drag race a little different. This time, instead of any Bugatti Chiron, McLaren 720S or other sports car, three vans appear: one Ford Transit , one Volkswagen crafter and still a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter.

We know that by now you may be wondering about the interest of putting these three vans face to face but the truth is that if you think about it, these are some of the fastest vehicles on our roads. But let's see: you may even be driving a high-performance car but the most likely is that a van like this will show you light signals to get you out of the way…

Given this reality that we are faced with on a daily basis, it is no wonder that it has become necessary to find the fastest van, and for that, the CarWow team decided to put three of the best-selling models in the van segment in Europe face to face. and believe me, the result is a drag race far more interesting than you might think.

All three vans have 2.0 l turbo diesel engines, however the mechanical similarities end there. Not only are the power levels different, the way in which it is transmitted to the ground also varies from van to van.

So, the most powerful is the Volkswagen Crafter with 179 hp (132 kW) , manual gearbox and rear-wheel drive. already the Ford Transit , despite also using a manual transmission, transmits the 173 hp (127 kW) of power to the front wheels. Finally, the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter it's the only one that has an automatic teller machine , being the least powerful of the trio with 165 hp (121 kW) that are delivered to the rear wheels.
