Skoda's proposal in the competitive C-segment is to be congratulated. The Skoda Octavia reached 1.5 million units produced.

Five years after the start of production of the third generation Skoda Octavia, the 1.5 million model of the Czech brand's bestseller left the Mladá Boleslav factory.

Skoda Octavia

“With the Octavia, our company's rapid development started to pick up pace in 1996. This model has been a very important pillar of the Skoda portfolio for the past two decades. With the third generation of our bestseller, we build on the success of the first two generations perfectly.”

TESTED: From 21,399 euros. At the wheel of the renovated Skoda Octavia

Between 1996 and 2010, the first generation Octavia sold 1.4 million units. The second generation, produced between 2004 and 2013, continued the success of its predecessor with 2.5 million units. If we add the numbers achieved by the third generation to this, the Skoda bestseller has already sold more than five million units worldwide.

In addition to production at the main factory of the brand Mladá Boleslav, in the Czech Republic, the Skoda Octavia is produced in China, India, Russia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan.

Renewed style, more technology and a more performance version

In October last year, Skoda updated the Octavia, which adopted a new front where the double headlights and redesigned bumpers stand out. Inside, the highlight goes to the infotainment system updated with a 9.2-inch screen.

Skoda Octavia RS245

In March of this year, during the Geneva Motor Show, the Czech brand presented the fastest Skoda Octavia ever (above). As the name implies, the RS 245 version delivers 245 hp of power, 15 hp more than the previous model, and 370 Nm.
