The images were originally published by the CivicXI forum and show the forms of the new generation of Honda Civic , the 11th, which is expected to be known in the spring of 2021 in the US, but its commercialization could take until 2022 in Europe.
The trail of images reveals a body of practically identical proportions to the generation currently on sale, but the styling is much more contained and less aggressive.
At the front, the headlights take on less angular contours and a more horizontal arrangement. The bumper continues to have three air intakes, but the tone is not as aggressive as what we see in the current generation.
Something that is even more evident from the back, with the new generation Honda Civic losing the expressive spoiler that joined the trapezoidal rear optics and split the rear window and also the generous (and false) air vents.
The rear optics are still joined, but now by a narrow strip we assume will be illuminated (as seems to be “fashion” these days), and take on more rectangular contours and a horizontal orientation.
In profile, the frieze that separates the windows from the roof remains, but the “cleaning” and descent of the visual aggressiveness tone that we saw at the front and rear is repeated here. The waistline is now defined by a single element that extends horizontally across the entire bodywork, with the underbody area containing a slight rising crease to capture some light and better structure the profile.
In addition to the hatchback bodywork, we also got to know what the future Honda Civic sedan will look like, the four-door saloon, which replicates the five-door solutions, differing only in the longer and more prominent rear volume.
What to expect from the Honda Civic XI?
These images come after the future Type R has already been “caught” on the road in tests, but the truth is that little or nothing is known about the new generation Honda Civic.

Taking into account the announcement made some time ago by Honda that all its sales in Europe would be of electrified vehicles, it is expected that the next generation will bet heavily in this direction. That's what we've already seen happen with the new Honda Jazz that is sold in the “old continent” only and only with a hybrid engine.
Will the same happen with the Civic? Most likely. It is also not worth relying on Diesel engines, as Honda has already advanced that it would stop selling them in 2021.
