The Nissan Concept Vision 2020 Gran Turismo digital prototype, developed in partnership with Polyphony Digital, was first unveiled in June 2014 on Sony's console. This concept is seen by the brand as a preview of the next generation of the GT-R. A model that should once again rely on the current generation's V6 3.8 liter twinturbo engine, but this time supported by an electromechanical inertia steering wheel, which conserves the kinetic energy of braking and then transforms it into electrical energy. This energy will be used to power two front-mounted electric motors.
A technology already recurrent in Formula 1 and in the LMP1 of the Endurance World Cup, which could help the next GT-R to surpass 800hp of combined power. It's to keep your eyes wide open, literally:
