McLaren Technology Center. Know the «home corners» of the McLaren F1 team

In 1937, one of the men who contributed most to the history of motor sport was born. His name is Bruce McLaren, the founder of McLaren — you can find out more about this engineering genius here. A brand that, more than 80 years after the birth of its founder, continues to win on the tracks and convince outside of them.

And part of these victories are starting to take shape here, in the McLaren Technology Center . It is in this space that we are going to visit today, located in Woking, in the county of Surrey, United Kingdom, that the McLaren Formula 1 team is based.

Designed by Foster and Partners in 1999, and completed in 2003, the McLaren Technology Center covers an area of 500,000 square meters. About a thousand people work daily in this space. A space that you can discover today, through a virtual tour with two floors.

A visit where you can see some of the cars that have marked McLaren's history, take a look at the workshops where Formula 1 cars are watched and even walk through some corridors and enter the meeting rooms of the English brand.

Outside the McLaren Technology Center there are also reasons for interest. The building has an artificial lake that completes the semicircle formed by the building. This lake has 500 thousand cubic meters of water.

Let's get some air? Note: if you want to re-enter, the entrance is on the left.

We hope you enjoyed this visit to the McLaren facility. Tomorrow we leave for Germany, going to the city of Stuttgart to visit the Porsche Museum. Do we have an appointment at the same time, here at Ledger Automobile?
