Touring Superleggera Sciadipersia. looking for lost elegance

According to the Italian bodybuilder himself, who will make it known at the Geneva Motor Show — it's already tomorrow — the Sciadipersia (Shah of Persia) seeks to counteract the current visual trend of strongly aggressive fronts. The Touring Superleggera Sciadipersia thus makes a difference through a more classic aesthetic, evoking the GT of past decades.

Sciadipersia starts its life as a Maserati GranTurismo, and although there are plenty of them in circulation, Touring Superleggera's managers also advance that they won't produce more than 10 units.

Sciadipersia, looking for more elegance

The conversion itself focuses essentially on the exterior design, which even includes a new color, which was given the name “Orient Night Blue”: the idea is to give, according to Touring, “a night with clear skies. ”.

Outwardly, we would hardly say that Sciadipersia is a Maserati. The design is inspired by the GT of the 50s and 60s, marked by much more elegant lines - but hardly consensual -, highlighting the brushed aluminum elements in the C pillar and roof, almost forming a safety arch, and in the rear, next to the optics.

Inside, the original seats were replaced by others, covered in a better quality Italian leather. Even inside, we can see brushed aluminum applications on the dashboard and other parts of the cabin. The exclusivity of Sciadipersia can be seen in details such as a specific set of Foglizzo suitcases, specific for your luggage compartment.

pristine mechanics

However, the entire electrical, electronic and mechanical component remains untouched. In other words, under the bonnet the most certain thing is to find the V8, naturally aspirated, 4.7 liters and 460 hp from the Maserati GranTurismo.

Weighing 1700 kg, lighter than the Granturismo, the Touring Superleggera Sciadipersia announces an acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.7 seconds, and the advertised top speed is 301 km/h.

Touring Superleggera advertises a two-year warranty on the model, as well as about six months for the conversion, but for now, it has not revealed the cost of the conversion.
