The first Skoda Kodiaq units have already started rolling off the production lines at the Kvasiny plant in the Czech Republic.
Expressive design, high functionality and many “Simply Clever” features. According to Skoda, these are the great strengths of the new Kodiaq – know them in detail here. This is one of the most important models for the brand in recent years: it is Skoda's first proposal for the trendiest and fastest-growing segment in recent years, the SUV segment.
The new model is produced in Kvasiny, Czech Republic, a unit that houses close to 6000 workers. This factory, founded 82 years ago, is one of three Skoda factories in the country, and is currently undergoing expansion and modernization. Last year, around 142,000 vehicles (Superb and Yeti) came out of Kvasiny, but the aim is to produce more than 280,000 vehicles annually in the coming years.

During the ceremony, Michael Oeljeklaus, member of the Skoda Production Board, did not hide his enthusiasm:
“For the last few months the entire team has been preparing to welcome our first SUV. We are delighted that everything is already underway. The start of production on the Skoda Kodiaq is an exciting time for the entire company and especially for those working at the Kvasiny factory.”
The new Skoda Kodiaq arrives on the Portuguese market in the first quarter of 2017, with prices still to be announced.
