Is Panamera Sport Turismo the first Porsche shooting brake? Not really...

Porsche took advantage of the Geneva Motor Show (2017) to present the new Panamera Sport Turismo live and in color. An unprecedented model in the brand's history not only for its 520 liters of luggage capacity but mainly for adding one more rear seat — it is the first 5-seater Panamera.

In fact, this is also the first production shooting brake model from the German brand, but not necessarily Porsche's first foray into this type of bodywork. For that we have to go back more than 30 years.

In 1984, on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of Ferry Porsche, the engineers of the brand developed a kind of elongated variant of the Porsche 928, which they called the Porsche 928-4. In addition to being longer and having a longer wheelbase, this model adds new headlights and leather upholstery. The higher roof completed the shooting brake style.
