Kia prepares new logo. What's next?

As with Volkswagen and Lotus, it looks like the Kia logo is also about to change.

The confirmation was given by the president of Kia, Park Han-wood, in statements to the South Korean website Motorgraph and came to confirm something that had been suspected for a long time.

According to Park Han-wood, the new emblem “will be similar to the one used by the “Imagine by Kia” concept, but with some differences”. However, sites such as Motor1 and CarScoops have revealed an image that anticipates what is probably Kia's new logo.

Here's what could be the new Kia logo.

Compared to the one used in “Imagine by Kia”, the emblem revealed appears with the corners of the letters “K” and “A” cut off. The disappearance of the oval where the name “Kia” is based and which has been used by the South Korean brand for many years seems to be certain.

When arrives?

Confirmed that the change of the Kia logo remains, only one question remains: when will we start seeing it in the models of the South Korean brand? Apparently, the implementation of the new logo should take place in October.

For now, it is still unknown which model will have the “honor” of debuting it. However, the most likely is that it will appear in an electric model, a little similar to what Volkswagen did with its new logo, which was presented in ID.3.

Long used by Kia, this logo is apparently about to be replaced.

However, despite this confirmation, don't think that the Kia logo will be replaced overnight. A change of this kind not only costs (a lot) money but also takes time, forcing the change of logos not only on models but also on brand spaces, catalogs and even merchandising.
