Ferrari F80: A dream concept with delusions of power!

The LaFerrari is still getting used to public roads, and there are those who don't waste time charting the brand's future with this stunning design study: the Ferrari F80.

Authored by Adriano Raeli, an Italian designer, the Ferrari F80 is the interpretation of the future successor to the Ferrari LaFerrari, the last supercar of the rampante horse brand.

Its complex shapes are as dramatic as they are beautiful, if it weren't an Italian creation. The creased lines make it possible to foresee aerodynamic indices taken to the extreme. For the recent graduate of the Art Center College of Design, the choice of mechanics lives up to the shapes of the bodywork, as dreaming doesn't cost.

For Adriano, the current V12 from the LaFerrari would give way to a twin turbo V8 of 900 horsepower associated with the KERS system with 300 horsepower, almost double the current 163 horsepower of the LaFerrari.

The choice of engine is obvious, as the new California T, already uses the new block V8 twin turbo of 3.9l, with 552 horsepower and in the near future it seems that the 458 Italy will also receive the services of a turbo.

In other words, in practice, the Ferrari F80 would be a 1200 horsepower supercar, for a desired weight of 800kg, which would lead the Ferrari F80 to a record power-to-weight ratio of 0.666 kg/hp, numbers more than enough for a speculative performance of 2.2 seconds from 0 to 100km/h and an impressive top speed of 498.9km/h.

If for purists the Ferrari F80 should be powered by an atmospheric unit, it is worth remembering that the beastly F40 was powered by a twin turbo block and it did not disappoint Ferrari's fiercest tiffosis. And what do you think about the Ferrari F80? Leave us your opinion on our social networks.
