When it was released in 2016, the revamped version of Volkswagen I p! appeared on the German market with a price of 26 900 euros, much more than the approximately 10 000 euros that the brand was asking for the cheaper gasoline version. Now, about two years later, and given the reduced sales figures achieved, the German brand decided it was time to do something.

So Volkswagen cut the price of the e-Up! in the domestic market at 3,925 euros, with the small tram now costing 22,975 euros in German lands. And all this even before the incentives and aid that are given to the purchase of electric cars.

According to the Observer, Volkswagen is preparing a similar measure for Portugal, however it is still not known how much the small electric will start to cost around here. Currently, e-Up! can be purchased in Portugal for a price starting at 28 117 euros.

According to what was reported by Reuters, Volkswagen intends that some of its future electric models will cost less than 20,000 euros, however these prices will vary according to the tax policies of each country.
