Adventure of a Citröen AX 1.4 TRD on the Nürburgring | Car Ledger

Anonim

This is the adventure of a Citröen AX 1.4 TRD (Enterprise) through the turns of the Nürburgring. It took seven years of trying to get a time below 10 minutes. Big trip!

A Citröen AX 1.4 TRD that knows the Nürburgring better than anyone else. In the video posted by the fearless pilot and happy owner of this Citröen AX 1.4 TRD, we realize that this is a story with epic contours. With no money to buy a sports car, Nic decided to take his Citröen AX 1.4 TRD to Petrolheads Mecca. Long before this AX started its first trainings, Guilherme Costa was already stealing the AX from his father for some adventures…

Citroen AX 1.4 TRD Nürburgring

Seven years after starting his journey, it came to an end on the 17th of August 2013 at 8:37 am, however, it is only now that the video has been published. Nic resides 1115 km from the Nürburgring in Bordeaux, France. His Citröen AX 1.4 TRD traveled 10 times to the Nürburgring, a total of 11150 km on round trips to the circuit alone. At the Nürburgring, it was on the 118th lap (+-2450 km from Nordschleife) that he managed to set the time of 9:55 minutes, below 10 minutes, his goal.

Joining the list of fastest laps of Bridge to Gantry was his goal, an unofficial blog for “tourists” who venture into the Nürburgring Nordschleife. Nic traveled for 7 years to the Nürburgring, whenever his budget allowed. He always entered at heights with little traffic, to be more comfortable. He never had accidents, but he “buried” 9 engines and 5 gearboxes.

His Citröen AX 1.4 TRD (1993) has 52 hp, 685,100 km and weighs 720 kg. In the list of modifications there are only Yokohama tires (Advan A048s), changed fuel pressure, aluminum intake manifold and an AA bar. This is further proof that it doesn't take much to make a man smile with happiness. Stay with the video!
