Techrules Ren. It is now possible to order the «Chinese supercar» with 1305 hp

It may even seem like a futuristic prototype with no chance of reaching the production lines, but let the most skeptical be disappointed: it is Techrules' first production model. The Chinese brand wants to start production next year, and the Ren – that's how the super sports car is called – will be limited to 96 units (10 per year).

Being developed with a modular layout, the Techrules Ren can be transformed into a single-seater, two-seater and even a three-seater configuration – à la McLaren F1 – with the driver in the center. Inside, Techrules promises a premium feel with refined materials and finishes.

The entire design was carried out by Giorgetto Giugiaro, founder of Italdesign, and his son Fabrizio Giugiaro.

80 liters of diesel provide 1170 km. Forgiveness?

If the design is already exuberant, what about this technological compendium that equips Techrules Ren. In the top-of-the-range version, this sports car is powered by six electric motors (two on the front axle and four on the rear axle) with a total of 1305 hp and 2340 Nm of torque.

The sports car is able to complete the traditional sprint from 0 to 100km/h in a dizzying 2.5 seconds. While the top speed is electronically limited to 350 km/h.

As for autonomy, therein lies one of Techrules Ren's secrets. In addition to the 25 kWh battery pack, the sports car has a micro turbine capable of reaching 96 thousand revolutions per minute, which works as an autonomy extender. The updated numbers point to 1170 km (NEDC) on just 80 liters of fuel (Diesel).

The advantage of all this? This solution – Turbine-Recharging Electric Vehicle – is more efficient and requires little or no maintenance, according to the brand.

Techrules is already accepting orders, and expects production to start as early as next year. However, a limited number of competition specimens will be built by LM Gianetti in Turin, Italy.
